TRANSCRIPTIONIST REFERRAL PROGRAM

MedQuist Canada is currently offering a referral program for
acute care MTs.

Text Box: q $1,500 to any MedQuist Canada MT who refers an MT to transcribe on a full-time basis; and
q $500 to any MedQuist Canada MT who refers an MT to transcribe on a part-time basis.

To be eligible, referred candidates must meet the following requirements:

n Referred candidate must have one year of recent work experience in an acute care transcription environment, transcribing physician-dictated inpatient medical record reports. Work type familiarity should include history/physicals, consultations, discharge summaries and operative notes.

n Referred candidate must pass the MedQuist Acute Care transcription test and be placed into the qualifying position at time of hiring. Referred candidate must be classified as a full-time acute care transcriptionist, transcribing an average of 10000 lines semi monthly and must meet or exceed the standards of quality and production or a part-time acute care transcriptionist, transcribing an average of 5000 lines semi monthly and must meet or exceed the standards of quality.

The following participants are excluded and cannot be considered as referrals under the program:

n Current MedQuist Canada MT’s or employees;

n Individuals who worked for MedQuist Canada within the previous two years; and

n Individuals who previously applied or had been referred for employment to MedQuist Canada within the last six months.

To Receive the Award Payment:

n The referring MT and referred candidate must be working with MedQuist Canada at the time of payment.

- $1,500 Award is paid in two installments: One half of the referral fee will be paid when the referred candidate successfully completes three months of service and the other half when the referred candidate successfully completes nine months of service.

- $500 Award is paid in one installment: The referral fee will be paid when the referred candidate successfully completes four months of service.

To refer a candidate:

1. Email referred candidate’s contact information to info@medquistcanada.com.

2. To be considered as a referral, the candidate's referral information must be on file before, or within one week of, receipt of referral’s MT application by MedQuist Canada. If there are duplicate referrals, only the MT who first submitted the candidate’s information will be eligible for an award.

3. MedQuist Canada will make any final decisions regarding applicable candidates, eligible MTs, payment awards, etc. Their decision is final.

Note:

w The referral program will run from April 01, 2007 to June 30, 2007.

w Each referred candidate will be given a 60 day period from start of service to meet the full-time/part-time production standards.

w Management reserves the right to revise or extend the Transcriptionist Referral Program at any time.

w All awards are considered taxable income.
